Dean Nimmer

Dean Nimmer is an abstract artist specializing in the areas of painting, drawing and printmaking. He has exhibited his art and lectured in Australia, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Japan, and China as well as in many galleries and universities across the US. Emeritus Professor, Dean Nimmer, is the former Chair of the Painting, Printmaking programs at Mass College of Art, where he taught from 1970 to 2004. Dean is currently an Adjunct Professor at Holyoke Community College where he teaches painting, drawing and some experimental installation courses. He is the author of the successful book, Art from Intuition, (Watson-Guptill/Random House, 2008), that is currently in its 9th printing, and his new book, Creating Abstract Art, (North Light Books, 2014) comes to bookstores across the U.S., Europe, Japan and Australia this October.
